What a great week to be an Eagle! I want to start off by congratulating the baseball team on making it to our first ever College World Series appearance in Omaha.

The Eagles took care of business in thrilling fashion by defeating Georgia Tech in Atlanta and sweeping the Florida Gators in Gainesville. Head Coach Corky Palmer, who has announced this season would be his “swan song” as the skipper for the Eagles, has done an incredible job preparing the team for post season play.

The Eagles will proudly represent the conference and the state of Mississippi in Omaha starting this weekend.

If you can’t make it to the College World Series this weekend, the Baton Rouge alumni chapter has planned a special viewing party at Buffalo Wild Wings.

For those of you who have been to our football viewing parties in the past, you know the drill. Come early, pick a table by the black and gold contingency and buy your own food/drinks.

There is no added or extra cost involved - it is just an opportunity to watch the game amongst friends!

Come and go as you please - we will have shakers, stickers, signs and everything you need to help cheer the Eagles on!

We are also working something out with the University to try and get some CWS merchandise to sell for the big game (hopefully).
